The Fohow Healthcare Institute

The Fohow Healthcare Institute is located in Zhuhai City, China. Tens of renowned experts in fields such as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), biology and process engineering bring their refined skills together here to form a world-class team. The Institute consists of three large centres for R&D, inspection and testing, and trial-manufacture, all in long term co-operation with a variety of key universities and scientific research institutions. This extensive R&D power ensures the most advanced technology and latest scientific knowledge is employed, laying a solid foundation for manufacturing world-class Fohow products.

Professor:
Professor Tang Youzhi is a world-renowned expert in traditional Chinese medicine. He has published four major works in this field, laying a solid foundation for modern Chinese healthcare science. He is referred to as the founder of modern healthcare science of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Having served as chief physician for the former Chairman of China, Mao Zedong, and conducted healthcare and treatment for several Heads of State, Professor Tang Youzhi has the reputation of a “modern imperial physician”, enjoying exceptional prestige in the world. At present, he serves as the President of the Fohow Healthcare Institute, as well as Honorary President of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences.

The four large prodution bases of the Fohow Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., Fohow Biotechnology Co. Ltd., Fohow Biological Engineering Co. Ltd. and Fohow Functional Textile Co. Ltd. are mainly engaged in the processing of raw material (extraction of traditional Chinese medicine ingredients), biological fermentation, production of the finished products and other associated work.

Having passed the authentications of the GMP, ISO9000 Quality Management and HACCP Security Systems, these production bases have all adopted modern production procedures and fully automatic production lines. The product management process is scientific and rigorous.

Every batch of products is checked at all levels, whether in the raw material extraction process, biological fermentation or production of the finished product; each process is controlled according to international quality standards as well as advanced technological processes to ensure standardisation and high standards of production of overall quality of all products at each manufacturing stage. Each production base is equipped with modern distribution workshop, operating warehouse logistics, to ensure the high-tech Fohow products can be shipped worldwide in a timely and efficient manner.

Located in Nanyang (China), the Fohow Ecological Agriculture Co. Ltd. has established a modern production and plantation base to grow raw materials for Chinese Herbal Medicine covering an area of 1,390,000 square metres. It has passed the ISO9001 Quality Management System and HACCP Food Safety Management System authentications, also having a permit for export of Chinese Herbal Medicine and QS Authentication issued by the State.

The Fohow Group’s Production and Plantation Base (bringing together scientific research, achievement and familiarity with supply and demand) exploits modern biotechnology and advanced production machinery dedicated to planting, growing and harvesting the necessary raw materials for Chinese Herbal Medicine with high purity, quality and standards to ensure the best calibre of Fohow products right from the source.

As a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Growth Companies (GGCs), Fohow Group has been steadily expanding its business in Africa, where its products have been widely accepted and supported by customers, depending on the happiness and healthy values they have created for the African people. The 24th World Economic Forum Africa Summit was held from May 7 to 9, in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria. Li Fan, vice president of Fohow Group, in charge of its Africa market, was invited to attend the meeting and communicate with world political leaders, business elites and industrial pioneers for discussing outlook and challenges of Africa’s economic development.

The three-day summit is themed at “Forging inclusive growth, creating jobs”.
